Just because fashion month has come to end, it doesn't mean we are finished talking about it! Now that every look has made it down the runway we sat down and collected the top trends we will be seeing this Fall/Winter. Check them out below!
50 SHADES OF HIGHLIGHTER
This fall as you go back to school or work, highlighters won't just be a staple in your backpack, but also in your wardrobe. Lucky for you every shade made it's way down the runway, in classic silhouettes along with more trendy styles.
Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Balmain, H&M, Prada.
A form of plaids, checks, tartans can be a guarantee on fall season runways. This season it was strong tartans that made an appearance. We saw oversized styles, fitted, and in classic & bold colour combinations. There seems to be something for everyone. Even though we are rarely biased, we have to say in this case, Versace's Clueless vibes are giving us all the feels.
Balenciaga, Versace, Max Mara, Marc Jacobs, Armani.
Now that we've all mastered the illuminating highlights in our beauty routines, it's time to master it in our wardrobes. Balmain's Olivier Rousteing, who showed a lot of this trend in his looks, said he wanted to fun with this collection - and why not? We're glad he did. It has done wonders in our beauty routines so we'll give a shot in our closets.
Area, Sies Marjan, Balmain, Zadeh, Maison Margiela.
As the saying goes... go big or go home. When it comes to animal print, that's exactly what many designers decided to do. Power suits, trench coats, and strong colours were seen on the runways of many designers. In our opinion, leopard/cheetah print is a neutral so we agree - go big, and don't go home.
Victoria Beckham, Tom Ford, Max Mara, R13, Area.
What is normally looked at as a folky, boho design has taken a turn for this upcoming fall season. We saw the patchwork style come down the runway in modern form - mini dresses, fur coats. and luxurious knits.
Philip Lim, Calvin Luo, Bottega Venetta, Dior, Tom Ford.
In the days of athleisure, and the rise of sportswear, it is so refreshing to see true feminine textures, and silhouettes. A style that can be tired is revamped, mixed and layered with a modern approach in colour choice and shape.
Off-White, Carolina Herrera, Sies Marjan, Oscar de la Renta, Prada.
These aren't the standard metallics we see every season on the runways. We saw versions of amour-like dresses at Alexander Wang, and Oscar De la Renta. Then we saw models come out almost dripping in liquid-like head to toe looks from many other designers. Talk about sprucing up your day to night looks!
Alexander Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Tom Ford, Balmain, Alberta Ferretti.
