Creative Director for Sandy Liang
New York City
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Parsons School of Design graduate.
Liang’s fashion career started with a bubble gum pink and brown mink coat that won her a competition supported by Saga Furs.
Liang launched her label in 2014, gaining fast success in the last three years.
Bold outerwear is at the central to her collections season after season.
Liang is more about “tomboy” style rather than the “girly-girl” look.
While Liang respects trends, she doesn’t want her collections to be largely based on them – Liang wants to create pieces that can be in your wardrobe forever.
Liang says her label’s girl is “just this girl who likes clothes, but it’s not her entire life”.
Sandy Liang was a CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund finalist.
Sandy Liang was voted as one of Forbes Magazine’s Top 30 Under 30.
